About Your Guitar Success
I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself, and the question your probably asking: “Who is Your Guitar Success?”
My name is James Mulligan and I am the founder of Your Guitar Success.com.
In 1997 I made the biggest decision of my life. I had just finished High School and dropped out of College.
I was drifting and nowhere to go. But I decided I wanted to play an instrument and more importantly I wanted to play the Guitar.
12 months later, I had renewed self-confidence and self-esteem.
I had a new direction in my life, playing 365 days a year, 8 hours a day, playing in a rock band and thinking nothing but guitar.
It was in that moment that I decided that I wanted to make a difference and it didn’t matter how small, through the gift of learning and playing the acoustic and electric guitar.
Well it wasn’t exactly easy, I spent the next few years reading a lot of guitar books, magazines and going to a lot of gigs to really improve my guitar skills. Trying out ideas that I was learning, but most of it was all trial and error.
The Real Breakthrough
The real breakthrough came when I met my long-term guitar teacher, and everything changed.
I made massive progress by learning step-by-step instructions from my guitar teacher and did exactly what he told me to do.
All techniques, principles and fundamentals of the acoustic and electric guitar started to come together. I felt if I put my mind to it, I could play anything I desired.
Through my experience “I have now come to believe something that’s very important. If you too have desire, commitment and most of all action, you too can play any song, learn any solo ‘YOU’ desire”
In 2006 I decided I too wanted to become a teacher and pass on my guitar knowledge to kids, teenagers and adults
For the next 6 years that followed I have honed my teaching skills, tutoring hundreds of students and achieving their musical goals. My clients have achieved GCSE/A LEVEL in music and Grade 8 in both acoustic and electric guitar.
