The strumming uses a very basic simplistic strumming approach of a down-down-up-up-down-up
How To Play Time Of Your Life Introduction / Verse | Chords And Chord Changes
The first chord of the intro/verse is G Major, and here is how you play G Major: Put your 2nd finger on the 3rd fret Low E string, then your 1st finger on the 2nd fret A string, 3rd finger on the 3rd fret B string and finally your 4th finger on the 3rd high E string. This time play 6 strings on the guitar… Once you can play G Major correctly – Strum this pattern for G Major Down Down Up Up Down Up. Strum this pattern twice.
Once your able to play the strumming pattern for G Major correctly, your ready to move on to the next chord on how to play time of your life on guitar…
The next chord is Cadd9, to play this chord go to the chord G Major and then put your first two fingers down one string each….Then strum the same pattern…but this time only once. Down Down Up Up Down Up
The 3rd chord on how to play time of your life on guitar is D Major, and here is how you play D Major:
Put your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret high E string, then your 3rd finger on the 3rd fret B string and finally your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret G string. Remember to play 4 strings on the guitar. Make sure you strum the same pattern as before Down Down Up Up Down Up. Same as Cadd9 strum the pattern just the once.
How To Play Time Of Your Life Chorus (Part 1) | Chords And Chord Changes
The first chord on the chorus is E Minor, and here is how you play E Minor:
Put your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret A string, then your 3rd finger on the 2nd fret D string. Again your going to be playing 6 strings on the guitar.
Same strumming pattern as before: Down Down Up Up Down Up.
The 2nd chord on how to play time of your life on guitar for the chorus is D Major Same strumming pattern as before
Down Down Up Up Down Up…Just the one pattern for this one.
Once your able to play the strumming pattern for D Major correctly, your ready to move on to the next chord of the chorus.
Same Pattern as before Down Down Up Up Down Up…again just once.
For the last chord is the G Major chord…You use the same pattern as before Down Down Up Up Down Up
when your playing the chorus of time of your life…I see two parts to this chorus…and this is part 1…Once you complete the G Major strumming as outlined in the video, repeat the chord progression again.
How To Play Time Of Your Life Chorus (Part 2) | Chords And Chord Changes
Part 2 is just a spin off part 1 using the Same strumming pattern and more or less the same chords as before…E Minor is first…
Strum Down Down Up Up Down Up. Just the once…
After you have finished the E Minor strumming, go to the G Major chord this and use the same strumming pattern we have been using all song…
Down Down Up Up Down Up. Repeat this strumming pattern twice, like shown on the video…
The last chord is D Major use the same strumming pattern as well Down Down Up Up Down Up…
Then you go back to the start of the song, which then repeats the whole sequence of chords between verse and chorus
