How To Play Hurt Chords Introduction / Verse | Chords And Chord Changes
The first chord for the Hurt chords intro/verse section is A Minor. Here is how you play it:
Put your 1st finger on the 1st fret B string , your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret D string and finally your 3rd finger on the 2nd G string strumming 5 strings on the guitar.

The 2nd Chord of of the Hurt chords is the C Major chord for the classic intro. Here is how you play it:
Put your 1st finger on the 1st fret B string, your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret D string and your 3rd finger on the 3rd fret A string. Make sure you play just 5 strings for this chord.

The last chord of the hurt chords intro/verse is D Sus2. Here is how you play it: Go to the chord D Major and put your 4th finger on the 3rd fret high E string.

How To Play Hurt Chords Chorus | Chords And Chord Changes
The first chord of the hurt chords is G Major, and here is how you play G Major: Put your 2nd finger on the 3rd fret Low E string, then your 1st finger on the 2nd fret A string, 3rd finger on the 3rd fret B string and finally your 4th finger on the 3rd high E string. This time play 6 strings on the guitar…Once you can play G Major correctly – Strum this pattern for G Major Down Down Down Down Down Up.
The second chord for the Hurt chords chorus section is A Minor.
Once you have finished strumming G Major, go back to the A Minor chord and strum the same pattern: Down Down Down Down Down Up.
The most difficult chord of the Hurt chords is F Major. Here is how you play it: Barre your 1st finger over the first fret on the guitar, then put your 2nd finger on the G string 2nd fret, your 3rd finger on the A string 3rd fret and finally your 4th finger on the 4th fret D string.
With your right hand strum the same pattern Down Down Down Down Down Up.
